About

Cheralyn Lim is an artist and emerging conservator. She works with collage, paint and printmaking to explore interactions of colour, shape and texture. The result is immersive and tactile abstract imagery. Through her life and work, Cheralyn seeks to promote the right to narrate through community-driven practices. She specialises in paper and photograph conservation, and has worked with Australian collections including the photographic collection at the Kanamkek-Yile Ngala Museum, Wadeye.

Cheralyn is also a member of 5 Press, a group of five artists brought together by an appreciation for handmade books and prints. With 5 Press she has participated in the several Australian and international art book fairs, including Singapore Art Book Fair 2019, NGV Art Book Fair 2016-2019 and Sydney Contemporary 2018-2019.

She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, where she studied painting from 2009-2011.
